Travel PlanningLocated only a few minutes away from Copenhagen's bustling city centre the Radisson SAS Scandinavia is close to many of Copenhagen's attractions. The Copenhagen International Airport is only fifteen minutes away and the main railway station is also close by.

By PlaneCopenhagen Airport - Københavns Lufthavn, Kastrup (CPH) is the major airport for both cities Copenhagen, Denmark and Malmö, Sweden. Around 2 million passengers - both on international and domestic flights - pass Kastrup every year. Kastrup is located about 8 km from Copenhagen city.
Apart from the largest Scandinavian airline SAS (Scandinavian Airlines), almost all the worlds major airlines are represented here.
The airport is located in Amager, south of the city center and only few minutes drive from the Öresund Bridge. The trip by metro from the city centre takes 14 minutes.
Accessibility to and from the Copenhagen Airport is by car/taxi or bus - right in front of the entrance, and the railway station beneath Terminal 3 where the Copenhagen Metro connects.
From the airport to the city and back:
Train
Train tickets are available from the DSB ticket office above the railway station in Terminal 3. Tickets and travel cards (for the Copenhagen and Northern Zealand HT-zone) are also available from ticket machines in the station area. There are lifts and elevators between the platforms and Terminal 3. You can take the free shuttle bus which runs between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, where the station is located. The bus journey lasts about 5 minutes.

Metro
Tickets for the Metro are available at the Metro station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in Terminal 3. Please note that the ticket machines do not accept notes, only coins and cards such as the Dankort, VISA, etc. The Metro operates at 4-6 minutes’ intervals during the day and evening hours and every 15 minutes during the night. The Metro operates from five o'clock in the morning until midnight. Friday - Sunday the Metro operates round the clock. The travel time from Nørreport Station in central Copenhagen to the airport is 15 minutes.
At the metro station Lufthavnen – at the end of Terminal 3 – there are now two self-service kiosks where passengers can print out both boarding cards and baggage tags. All major airlines are connected to these kiosks.

By TrainGrand Central Station, Hovedbanegården, was built in 1911. It was rebuilt and extended with a modern shopping centre in 1994 and is now back to its grandeur from the last century, welcoming more than 80 000 people every day, 365 days a year.
You can reach Copenhagen by direct trains from all major cities in Europe. More
than 1 000 trains depart every day to international, national, regional and
local destinations.

By BoatFrom Copenhagen, you have daily direct ferries to Norway (Oslo by DFDS Seaways) and Poland (Unity Line to/from Swinoujscie).
If you are travelling from the UK, there is a daily ferry, operated by DFDS Seaways from Harwich to Esbjerg, 200 kilometres west of Copenhagen.
From Rostock and Puttgarden in Germany, you have daily connections operated by Scandlines to Gedser and Rödby, about 150 kilometres from Copenhagen. Crossing time Puttgarden-Rödby is 45 minutes, Rostock- Gedser 2 hours.
From Sweden, there is the frequent ferry connection Helsingborg -Ellsinore (Helsingør). Those who will take a train will travel from there for less than an hour, by car on the European route E55 the journey takes approx. half an hour.
