ARIS ProcessWorld '08: IDS Scheer again receives record number of visitors in Berlin – “Improve Business Performance” is the central theme

ARIS ProcessWorld '08, the 15th annual congress on Business Process Management organized by IDS Scheer, opened its doors to 1600 participants from 44 countries. Between June 17 and 18, 2008, the leading global provider of Business Process Management (BPM) invited IT specialists, process owners and Executives, to discuss future developments and trends, but also to exchange their experiences of successful business process management as a crucial tool to improve business performance. In Berlin IDS Scheer also presented the ARIS Business Performance Edition representing innovative, next-generation ARIS products. As part of the ARIS UserDay on June 16, decision makers, users and prospective customers were able to carry out hands-on tests on the latest ARIS Platform developments and functionalities.

Keen interest was paid to the forward-looking keynote presentations by academic and company founder Prof. Dr. August-Wilhelm Scheer, Dr. Wolfram Jost, Member of the Executive Board with responsibility for Product Strategy and Development of IDS Scheer and Dr. Dirk Oevermann, Member of the Executive Board with responsibility for the worldwide Consulting Business of IDS Scheer. “Anything but Ordinary” was the closing keynote by Anja Förster and Dr. Peter Kreuz who are authors of the bestselling-book with the same title. They presented how clever innovation is often achieved by breaking the rules.

Ideas, concepts and projects on the subject of BPM were brought to the fore in more than 80 lectures, discussions and hands-on sessions during ARIS ProcessWorld & UserDay in Berlin. Not only did experts from IDS Scheer present the latest trends, but the focus was also on successful application examples that displayed how important Business Process Management was to meet the increasing challenges of the markets.
